A 23-year-old man was severely wounded in a shooting incident that occurred late Wednesday night in the Sarajevo neighborhood of Čengić Vila. The victim, identified as A. Č. from Sarajevo, is currently hospitalized with serious injuries, while the assailant remains at large.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton confirmed that police were notified about the use of firearms in Paromlinska street at 23:55 on Wednesday. Emergency medical personnel transported A. Č. to the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo (KCUS), where he received urgent care at the Clinic for Emergency Medicine.
Due to the severity of his injuries, the 23-year-old victim has been retained for further hospital treatment. Police officers are actively working to clarify all circumstances surrounding the shooting. The investigation also focuses on identifying and apprehending the suspected attacker, who is currently in flight.
